UNPACU activist sieged by police collaborators in his house for 36 hours

In the afternoon, 7 September 2020, Miguel Ángel López Herrera was at home when he was called by somebody from the street. When he opened the door, a State Security official known as Víctor was there and told him: “If you do not want to experience the same as last time, do not go out, otherwise you might end up without your clothes again. Just in case, I am leaving few of my friends outside and they are ready to beat you up if you did not follow my instruction.” The official was referring to the fact, that Miguel Ángel had been kidnaped and left naked on the km 12 of the national highway. This had happened on 8 September when the activists had been prevented from participating in an event commemorating the Sunflower Revolution and celebrating the Cuba's patron saint, María de la Caridad del Cobre. His house was sieged for 36 hours and after that the regime collaborators left.
