Activist detained for having contact with Radio Republica



Yoel Acosta Games, an activist from the Avilanian Free Press Association (APLA), was detained by the State Security (DSE) officials known as Gabriel, Garrido and Alexander in front of the municipal headquarters of the Cuban Communist Party in Morón. At the time of the detention, Yoel was just lodging a phone complaint with the Radio Republica. He was then taken to the police unit known as Gallo. There, the DSE officals told him that he would be put in prison if he kept talking badly about the government through the means of their enemies. He was released at about 6 pm on the same day. Before his release, he was given an official written warning for spreading information against the government.
