Rudel Montes de Oca Quesada, a member of the Party for Democracy of Pedro Luis Boitel and UNPACU, was beaten while six Damas de Blanco were attacked by police after they left the church in Cardenas. The activist was supporting them trying to take pictures of what was happening when the policeman Yolden Romero and three others officers beat him on the chest, shoulders and arms. He was put into patrol car and abandoned at the exit of the city of Cardenas. He went to the hospital because of a huge pain in the night.
