Marcos Antonio Moran Pelegrin was on his way to Santiago de Cuba to attend Mass and a protest march which was being conducted to demand the release of political prisoners and the end of political repression against human rights activists and citizens in general. At 6:40, he was detained in 1 Sur and San Lino street along with more than 10 other activists. The State Security officials pushed them to the bus, handcuffed them and driven them more then 60 km from Guantánamo. This action was instructed by Major known as Bryan or Morgan - State Security Department Chief.
