Maylen Gonzalez was going to attend Mass in Santa Rita de Casia Church. When she left the headquarters of the Ladies in White in 10 de Octubre, Havana, she was detained by combined forces consisting of State Security officials, National Revolutionary Police, Rapid Response Unit and Communist Party members. They beat her and detained her for more than 10 hours.
