UNPACU activist harrased and provoked while riding in the public road

On the afternoon of Sunday, January 5, human rights activist Henry Couto Guzmán was riding his bicycle along the avenue of the Los Cocos Bridge when Enningary Masa Martínez, (who has attacked Mr. Couto on other occasions) along with two collaborators, told him that they were going to beat him to a pulp and that “he should not play crazy" to go out at night to paint posters or stain some bust, that they were pending and that they had a check-up on him. They also threatened and provoked him, telling him to stop and see what they would do to him. According to the activist, the most common thing is that people are assaulted in the street and if the person tries to defend himself or responds to the assault, the police appears and the person is driven away and prosecuted for public disorder or resistance. He also stated that this practice has the particularity that they only prosecute activists who are against the regime in order to put opponents in prison.
