Rudel Montes de Oca Quesada suffers 2 broken ribs for defending the Ladies in White

On Sunday morning, July 20th, activist Rudel Montes de Oca Quesada was outside the catholic church of Cárdenas, accompanied by the Ladies in White from his area. As soon as the Ladies left the religious grounds and started on a walk, a mob assembled by the political police started hurling insults at them, and Rudel Montes de Oca Quesada stood up for them. Immediately the political police officers Irving, Kenny Aguero, Villamil and the captain of the national police Yorden jumped on him and started beating his face and ribs.Then they put him in a patrol car and took him to the police station. Because of Rudel's injuries, they took him to a hospital where he was given an x-ray, and immediately returned him to the unit. His wife stayed there, and they gave her the x-ray, but to everyone's surprise it was dated the previous day. Just after 2pm they released Rudel, after telling him verbally that he needed to appear on Thursday that week at the Criminal Code. He is still waiting at home for the official citation. They told Leticia Ramos, his wife, that he was going to be prosecuted for Defamation and Contempt. As a result of the beatings, Ramos fractured two ribs. He still accompanies the Ladies in White every Sunday.
