House of activist from Guantánamo under police surveillance on Christmas Eve



On 24 December, 2020, a house of Guantánamo activist and a member of the Cuban Patriotic Union (UNPACU), Miguel Ángel López Herrera, was subjected to a police operation, consisting of patrol cars, jeeps belonging to the operational guard and a number of officials and policemen placed around the building. The operation was launched after the San Isidro Movement was calling people to come to the streets on 24 December, when the Christmas Eve is celebrated in Cuba. The house of López Herrera was surrounded from 5 am and remained under surveillance until late night.
