On April 10, 2015, the victim was at home when the State Security oficial Dainier Suárez Pagán together with other officials appeared in his house to detain him. The victim was hancuffed and taken to the place known as "Bayate", close to Baraguá. He was beaten up by Suárez Pagán. Then he tied him to ant nest and he was seriously bited by ants. Then the officials covered his mouth so he could not call for help and they left him. The victim was untied thanks to one fisherman who was nearby in that moment.
