Activist Francisco Luis Manzanet Ortiz arrested and threatened

On 9th June 9 of 2018, the activist Francisco Luis Manzanet Ortiz was taken from his home by the sector chief of his area, Midelsys Durán Campo; by the chief of confrontation, Alfredo Olivero; and by another officer of the Department of State Security (DSE) Fernández Fernández. The activist was taken as a detainee to the central police station in the city of Baracoa, where he was given a warning and threatened that if he continued with his renegade activities he would be taken to prison. On 11th June of the same year, the activist was taken to prison.
