Niala Puentes Batista was arrested at 10:20 a.m. when she left her home on the way to a Catholic Church to participate in mass. She was forced into a patrol car and taken to the Sixth Congress Cooperative. After a few minutes, they drove her to the Colón Police Station. There, she was interrogated by a delegate of the Ministry of the Interior, Major Jaime Lopez. They gave her a fine of $150.00 CUP (approximately 4.6 euros) and released her at 1:10 p.m.
