Esquizander Benítez was with other UNPACU’s activists preparing an activity for the children when the political police arrested them all. Esquizander was brutally beaten up and moved to the Police Station where he was more than 6 hours. He was released in the outskirts of the city (15 miles away). Esquizander had been threatened before with incarceration and death.
