On Sunday, September 21 the human rights activist José Hernández left his home in the municipality of Los Arabos to go to Colón and support the local Women in White. He was detained and put in a car of the Ministry of the Interior with the license plate M14126 and driven toward the Central Road and the junction at Central Mario Muñoz where the officer parked the car, facing the sun. The official got out of the car and sat in the shade. He left Hernández in the car, in the sun, with the windows closed. After an hour, José Hernández took off his clothes, staying in his underwear due to the choking heat he was suffering. A patrol car appeared and they put the activist in it, taking him to the police station, where after 11:30 they let him go.
