UNPACU activist summoned to Parque 24 and threatened by State Security officials

In the afternoon, 5 February 2021, Henry Couto Guzmán, an activist from the Cuban Patriotic Union (UNPACU), was summoned to the police unit Parque 24 in the city of Guantánamo. When he arrived, he was detained and put to a prison cell for about one hour. After that, State Security officials Víctor and Matute, accompanied by a man in civil clothes, came and submitted him a fine in the amount of 2000 pesos. “This is due to the posters which had appeared in Guantánamo. We will fine you even more until you end up in jail. Let’s see whether José Daniel Ferrer will save you,” concluded the official.
