The activist Bartolo Cantillo Romero was going to the province of Santiago de Cuba to participate in a march demanding the release of political prisoners and the cessation of repression of activists. At 6:15 am, on the street San Lino and 3rd South, he was arrested and beaten by police and the State Security officers, among them the Agent Bryan. Bartolo was put in a bus and transferred to the town of Yateritas where he was abandoned in the middle of the mountain more than 40 km from the city of Guantánamo.
