In the early hours of 30th November, activists from the Orlando Zapata Tamayo Civic Action Front and the Vicente Méndez Hernández Movement took to the streets of Central Havana in a civic protest against the current Constitutional Reform project and the National Assembly's attitude towards the people. The protest was suppressed by combined forces of the Department of State Security (DSE) and the National Revolutionary Police (PNR), and the protesters were arrested. Upon their release, they were fined $150 Cuban pesos (£5) for the crime of violating the security perimeter.
