We were celebrating a third anniversary of UNPACU in its headquarters in Santiago de Cuba. Suddenly, the building was surrounded by State Security led by officials Dairon and Camilo. The police starting beating us. I was beaten over my head and lost consciousness. They put me into a bus along with other activists and we were driven to the municipality of Dos Caminos. When I got off the bus, I was beaten again over my head and back. After that, I had to be driven to the hospital in Dos Caminos. When I got a medical treatment and regained consciousness, State Security officials and National Revolutionary Police got to the hospital and insisted on getting me out of there. Given my serious health condition, the doctor refused it and I was transported to the hospital in Santiago de Cuba. The officials arrived as well and tried to convinced the doctors in neurochirurgy not to admit me there. The doctors panicked, so I asked my husband to take me away. Since then, I have been suffering several health consequences such as loss of consciousness, behaviour disballances and depression.
