An activist was arbitrarely detained in Palma Soriano (case of Omar Sayut Taquechel)

Omar Sayut Taquechel was heading to El Cobre along with other UNPACU activists. He was forcibly stopped by a car of the agents of the Political Police (Girón, Ferro, Dannier Pagan, Roberto, better known as el Visco and others whose identities are not know for their brief experience with detentions). They were accompanied by approximately 20 members of the anti-riot brigades of MININT, 16 agents of the PNR, a support group of prison system officials and by agents of the canine brigade with their police dogs. Omar was detained for more than 5 hours. At the end, he was abandoned 50 km away from the nearest town.
