Five years of prison for lending car to the UNPACU

Ten months ago, Amado Verdecia Diaz was brutally beaten and detained for 7 days. On October 20, he was detained again and he was on the court, where he was sentenced for 5 years for “attempting against the State.”. Amado is an active member of the UNPACU that always lend his car to the UNPACU or to another opposition organizations. Several times he was threatened by the political police for his activities against the government.
