Raciel Fernández was in his house when he was victim of an act of repudiation by the political police and members of the Committee for the Defense of the Revolution. He was beaten, arrested and taken to the Police Station when he was 12 hours suffering threatens and derisions. Raciel had been threatened before with incarceration and death because of his activism in UNPACU.
