On August 23, Milagros was on her way to an organized meeting on gender violence when on the corner of her house she encountered a police and military operation with the presence of several women from MININT. She was told to return to her house until the operation was over; however, Milagros refused and was threatened by a security officer named David and when she tried to leave the place she was intercepted by two women and immobilized and taken to the patrol car.
