Eviction order to young mother and three homeless children

Luisa, desperate to give protection and shelter to her children, was living in an abandoned canning factory for more than three years. After four months living there with her 16, 10, and 5 year-old children, the director of that company declared to the housing directorate and the National Revolutionary Police that the family should be evicted. The Captain of the National Revolutionary Police threatened Luisa and notified her that she had 72 hours to leave the premise by her own will or she would be evicted. She refused and went once again to the Government. They ignored the situation and did not respond. To worsen the situation of Luisa and her children, the electric company, on more than one occasion, stopped the electricity service in the building where they were living. Luisa is a physical education teacher and since she was threatened, had to ask for leave to take care of her children. In addition, she has no help and receives no salary from the State.
