At 1:10 pm, the human rights defender Michael Valladares Cala was participating in the Sunday activity in support of the Ladies in White in the campaign #Todos Marchamos, which requires amnesty for political prisoners. He was detained by the State Security Officials in civil clothes and uniformed police officers. The arrest was very violent; they beat him up, beat him on his feet, and for a few days he had the mark of his handcuffs. He was taken to the detention center where the right to inform his family about the situation was denied to him. There, he was insulted and threatened that if he participated in the march again, he would suffer worse consequences and he would be also prosecuted for disobedience and other crimes. He was detained for 48 hours.
