Man prevented from traveling to Guantánamo due to presidential visit

Luis Ángel López Arias was detained when he was traveling by bus towards the province of Guantánamo. At the checkpoint located on the highway heading from Santiago de Cuba, two unknown policemen stopped the bus. They noticed that López Arias was not from the Guantánamo Province, so they told him that he will have to be deported back to his province. When he prostested, the policemen informed him that they had received an order from their superiors in the State Security and in the government. The reason was the visit of the president Díaz Canel in the province of Guantánamo. López Arias had to get off the bus and he was kept in detention at the checkpoint for 3 hours. Then he was transported in the patrol car no. 632 back to his province.
