Inocent Woman Was Stripped and Humiliated

Yusdarkis Reyes Lores was at the bus terminal of the Banes municipality along with her brother in law, planning to go to visit her father who lives in the town of Moa. Four policemen stopped them and said they had to accompany them. They were driven to the police unit. First they questioned her brother in law. After revising him, they interrogated her and searched her. She was told to shed her clothes, they revised her hair, and told her to undress completely even though she was menstruating. Later she had to turn with her back and then with her front and do a squat in those positions. All this happened without telling the victim reasons for such humiliating treatment. They searched her belongings thoroughly, checked her clothing, soap, perfume, among other things. Eventually the police apologized and released her without disclosing the reason for the outrage.
