Human rights activist detained while heading to the church

Bartolo Cantillo Romero is a member of the Cuban Patriotic Union (UNPACU) and a colaborator of the Ladies in White. On 16 December 2018, he was heading to the church Santa Catalina de Ricci in order to participate in the Sunday Mass organized there. When he was walking down the Los Maceos and 3 Sur, the State Security official known as Kevin or Jefferson, together with another unknown agent, detained him. Then they took him to the police unit known as Parque 24 where he was kept until 6 pm on the same day. Then he was released without any further consequences.
