Activist arrested and threatened for attending "subversive meetings"



The activist Maritza Osorio Claro was heading to the city of Guantánamo in order to attend a training seminar on the activity Todos Marchamos. On her way, in Jamaica, she was detained by State Security and led to the National Revolutionary Police Unit of Jamaica. She was interrogated by officer Richar and threatened to fine her with a fine of 1500 CUP (52 EUR) for attending subversive meetings. She was released after 4 hours.
