Yamile was detained and beaten by agents of the State Security known as Camilo, Luisito, Marco, David, Michel and Volodia, when she tried to participate in the march "Todos marchamos". Together with other activists, she was taken to the military base Tarara, where she remained handcuffed for four hours. Later, she was put into patrol car number 214, where they left her under the sun for 2 hours. Then, she was fined for not having identity card and released.
