Activist besieged at his house in order to prevent him from leaving

The State Security (DSE) official known as Edwin Jefferson or Kevin, together with other unknown DSE agents, tried to detain a human rights activist and a member of the Eastern Democratic Alliance, Yeris Cúrvelo Aguilera, in front of his house. All this happened when the Cuban president, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, was visiting the municipality of Caimanera in the Guantánamo Province. Yeris's house was surrounded by the DSE agents in order to prevent him from leaving his house, as they always do when a high state representative is visiting Caimanera. However, the activist left his house, claiming that his house is not a prison cell. The DSE officials tried to detain him, but the crowd on the street defended him and prevented the agents from carrying out the detention.
