On July 7, 2015, the victim was leaving a project management course, when he was intercepted by patrol car No. 224, driven by the National Revolutionary Police officials in Camagüey. He was detained under the pretext of looking for a person matching his description. He was taken to the National Revolutionary Police unit, where the officials were offending him. The victim said, it was a misuse of authority and they beat him and locked him up for 24 hours. During this period, a search warrant was made in his house with an explanation that they were looking for some stolen articles. In reality they confiscated documents containing information about political opponents.
