On 5 July, 2020, Jorge Yunior Cortina Ramírez was detained by police officers nearby his house for expressing his anti-government opinions. He was then taken to the police unit located in the zone North in the Caribe district. When Jorge said that he was a regime opponent, he was driven to the police unit called Parque 24. There, they issued him an official warning for disturbance of order and relased him three hours later. On 1 August, a policeman stopped by in Jorge's house and told him that official Hodelín, who is the deputy chief in Parque 24, wanted to talk to him and annouced him that Jorge would be presented in the local community as a potential criminal.
