Lady in White Violently Detained



She was detained violently on February 23, 2014, by agents of the Department of State Security and the National Revolutionary Police while leaving her home to prevent her from participating in a mass at the Santa Rita de Casia Church neighborhood of Miramar, Playa municipality. She was beaten and abused by the military at the time of arrest. She was held in isolation for more than eight hours and was not allowed to call her family.
