Berta Soler was detained when leaving the Ladies in White Headquarters, located in the municipality of October 10th in Havana. The reason was to prevent her from attending a Sunday Mass organized by the Ladies in White which was carried out in order to demand the release of political prisoners. She was taken to the detention center known as "Vivac" where she remained for several hours.
