On 12th October in the morning, three activists were arrested, among them Miriam Navarro Dominguez, at the municipal terminal located on Coronel Galano Street. Miriam Navarro was detained after she and other activists distributed disks and printed matter to passengers there. They were denounced by a worker who calls himself Enrique Morales who, upon seeing them handing out the forms and disks, called the police. The officers who participated in the operation were the captain and chief of the opposition Alfredo Oliveros of the Department of State Security (DSE), and the captain and sector chief Gianni Clape Rodríguez, and the first lieutenant and political police officer Neuri Durán Pajan of the National Revolutionary Police (PNR). The activists were detained for more than 72 hours, they were released after being fined $200 Cuban pesos ($6) each for the crime of public disorder. In addition, they issued a warning to each of the activists and threatened that they would not face the same fate next time because they would be prosecuted in court.
