On 11 October Roelvis Cuba was heading at 2 am to the provincial headquarters of the UNPACU which is located at San Lino between 2 and 3 sur. Roelvis was brutally arrested by police and riot squad officer Brayan State Security that he was in charge of the operation. The riot Brigade officer punched him in the face wounded him the right eye. The reason for the detention was to prevent attending Mass at the Catholic church in Santiago de Cuba province. He was beaten in the police unit receiving threats offense and first by deputy Odelin instructor. This was reported in the Martí, Radio and News Journal of Cuba.
