Since 2011, Alberto has been a victim of abuses by his stepdaughter Danay Torres Chacon, military prosecutor of the region Santiago de Cuba, and her husband Jose Manuel Batista Gomez, official of the Ministry of the Interior. They occupy the home of Alberto and deny him the access to it under threat of being prosecuted. This has happened 7 times for false crimes of threat. He has also been physically attacked by the official Jose Manuel Gomez Batista causing him serious eye injuries with permanent consequences, that turned to be neurological. The officer was acquitted and Alberto was punished.
