Luis Enrique Monzón Rivero was arrested along with four opponents on Finlay Street in the San Juan neighborhoo, when they were participating in a protest in front of the local police station where they demanded the release of the dissient Damarys Moya Portieles, who had been arrested the day before.
Luis Enrique arrived at the scene with other members an they yelled: "Freedom for Damarys Moya! Down with Fidel! Down with Raúl! End the repression!"
Then and as a result, they were detained and retured to the vicinity of their homes, where they were released.
