Reporter detained when working on video report from Santiago de Cuba



Eider was preparing video reports in Santiago de Cuba province. When he was walking down the Martí Street to the bus terminal in Calle 4 where he wanted to take a bus to Guantanamo, he was detained by two State Security (DSE) officials together with two unknown policemen. He was taken to the police unit known as Serranos, where he was interrogated by two DSE officials. They asked him what he was doing in that province and they told him they would not allow him to do anything in Santiago de Cuba. He was released at about 6 pm on the same day.
