An activist Henry Couto Guzmán was on his way to Santiago de Cuba in order to get to the country headquarters of the Cuban Patriotic Union (UNPACU). When his bus was passing through a checkpoint on the national highway, a police official stopped the vehicle and got on, holding several pictures. He approached Henry and told him to get off. Henry started explaining to the passangers that he was just a human rights activist, but police officers pushed him out from the bus and told the passangers that he is a marijuana dealer. Henry was handcuffed and taken to the police unit called Operaciones known for interrogations and violations. There, he was received by official Andry who threatened him with imprisonment. Few hours later, he was received by official Víctor who, on the top of threatening him, told him that he is not allowed to travel anywhere and to meet counter-revolutionary activists such as José Daniel Ferrer García. Moreover, he told him that it is just a question of time when he will be accused of espionage. He was kept there until 4 pm and then released.
