Former political prisoner Félix Navarro Rodríguez was on his way to the bus terminal in order to get to Colón. Before that, he had participated in the Holy Mass in the catholic church San Miguel Arcángel de Perico. When he was about to get on the bus, he was stopped by secret police officer Marino Moya who told that his colleague needs to talk to him. When Navarro Rodríguez tried to answer, Marino Moya started to sharply insult him. They had an argument and when his colleague, official Darío Torres, came, Moya slapped Navarro Rodríguez in the face. Thanks to the intervention of the others, Marino Moya stopped beating him. The former prisoner was driven by a patrol car to the police station. He was kept in the lounge on the second floor without receiving any document on his detention. Later on, the provincial police chief Ramón Richard David appeared and Navarro Rodríguez was released at 1 pm.
