On May 30th, 2020, a member of the Cuban Patriotic Union (UNPACU) was arrested at his home and taken to the first police unit in Camagüey for publishing opinions and information about the Cuban reality on social networks. At the police unit he was expected by an inspector from the Empresa de Telecomunicaciones de Cuba SA (ETECSA) – the telecommunications company – who fined him $3,000 Cuban pesos (120€) based on Article 68, paragraph i of Decree Law 370. He was released after the fine was imposed, about one hour after the arrest.
