Your house in exchange for your decent old age in a nursing home

In August, 2012 a woman retiree asked for assisted living in a nursing home regarding her advanced age. She also suffers from dementia, diabetes mellitus type 2 and looses sense of orientation after dark. Her friends and neighbors were helping her with the procedure to get a place in the nursing home. The social workers required her to pass the house on to the authorities in exchange for the place in nursing home. This act would have had an impact on the son of the woman’s husband whose name is on the deed to the house. Refusing to hand over the house, the authorities involved in the case have paralyzed her request to enter the nursing house.
