In the early morning, political ex-prisoner Félix Navarro Rodríguez was about to meet with representatives from Anti-Communist Front Américo Moreiro in Cienfuegos. When he was alredy on the way, he was stopped by secret police officer Víctor Ramiro Rodríguez Álvarez who prohibited him from continuing his journey. He put him into the patrol car No. 822 and took him to the Police Department in Perico, so Félix could not get to Cienfuegos. He was released at 9:20 am.
