An activist from the Patriotic Union of Cuba (UNPACU) and some of her companions were attacked by a mob that was led by Ramón Cruz, head of the confrontation, along with eight other officers, as well as the police delegate and officials from the Cuban Communist Party (PCC) and other government-related organizations as well as several people they brought from somewhere else. The attackers knocked down the front of the perimeter and entered the street and the house. As a result of the blows the activist was injured in a leg and an arm as she protected her young children with her body.
