Mistreatment in Guntánamo in front of the church Santa Catalina (the case of Alexei Briso Era)

On April 7, 11 activists went to the church in Guantánamo in those days with the aim of dialogue with church authorities to intercede against violence exercised by the government against civil society. Police and state security mounted an operation outside the church in conjunction with quick action groups to beat and arrest the activists. They shouted worms and other words against this peaceful group. Alexei Briso Era was carried from the church. This happened three hours later on the orders of the bishop and the father of that church. These events had been realized against the activists across Cuba but especially in the east.
