Ernesto Ortiz Betancour was participating in a peaceful protest on Liberty Avenue in Palma Soriano.
At one point they decided to end the march and then when Ernesto Ortiz and that was when the rest of the participants were beaten by the police.
Ortiz Betancour was driven to the Security headquarters in Palma Soriano, where he was blackmailed, insulted and threatened.
Afterwards, Ernesto Ortiz was severly beaten on the head and received a fine of 2000 pesos.
