The activist Juan Luis Bravo, member of the Cuban Youth Movement for Democracy, was detained in the municipality Manuel Tamas where he was visiting.
When Juan Luis was about to leave, Captain Richard, a member of state security who was dressed in civilian clothes at the time, sent a uniformed police officer to identify him and then detain him. He was interrogated for an hour. Clearly his detention and interrogation were based on his activity as an opposition member, and the state security puts continued control and pressure on opponents of the regime.
