Álvarez Díaz was detained by the leader of the sector, Lieutenant Martinez Leyva, who showed up on the street in public and told Díaz to go with him to the police unit. The victim asked what crime or violation he had committed and Martínez Leyva communicated that he had been accused of an alleged crime of illicit speculation and enrichment. He protested and said that, every month, he receives remittances from his mother, who lives abroad and that he had all of the proof of the bank transfers. He was handcuffed and taken to the police unit known as Parque 24, where he was detained for more than 72 hours. He was released and fined for the offense of contempt of authority in public, without proving anything of the previous accusation.
