Officers detain a Guantánamo citizen simply for walking late at night.



On April 25, 2014, the citizen, who was leaving from a friends' house party, was detained between 2 and 2:30 in the morning by two uniformed men in a patrol car with license plate numbers 25346 and 26642. Upon arriving at the police unit, Parque 24, of the National Revolutionary Police (PNR), the officers led him to the cells where he was detained for twelve hours. As the hours of detention passed, the citizen was released by the Lieutenant Pelegrín with a fine of 30 pesos for wandering late in the street.
