At dawn on July 4, 2014, 28-year-old citizen Yanger Suarez Blanco was arrested at his home located in the province of Guantánamo by the National Revolutionary Police (PNR) and was transferred to the police unit, Parque 24, after placing a poster on his door that said, enough thefts by the Guantanamo electricity company. After 6 hours of his arrest, the PNR commander, Eglys Bronx Espinosa, questioned Yanger about the reason for his demonstration. However, commander Eglys threatened Yanger that if he protested again or put up another poster, he would send him to jail. Yanger Suarez Blanco was released after 16 hours of his arrest with various threats and a fine of 100 pesos for disorderly conduct to the public.
